  • 2012-14 UPWP ADOPTED, March 20, 2012: At its meeting on March 1, 2012, CDTC adopted the 2012-14 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP)
  • NEW SCOTLAND HAMLET MASTER PLAN PUBLIC WORKSHOP #2, May 16, 2012: The New Scotland Hamlet Master Plan Public Workshop #2 will be May 23rd, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Voorheesville High School Commons, to review the draft plan . The master plan plan will define the community’s hamlet vision and a strategy for managing future growth and change in this area.

  • PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE SAFETY TRAINING FOR LAW ENFORCMENT, May 15, 2012: CDTC recently conducted a Continuum of Training for Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety for Law Enforcement.  Officers learned how Engineering, Education and Enforcement must work together to make the bicycle and pedestrian travel environment safer for people of all ages and abilities.  Slides

  • SCHENECTADY GATEWAY PLAZA PUBLIC MEETING CANCELLED, May 1, 2012: The public meeting regarding the Schenectady Gateway Plaza Implementation Plan, scheduled for May 8, 2012 HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

  • CDTC APPROVES STATEWIDE PROJECTS, March 9, 2012: Today, CDTC held an emergency conference call to add the Accelerated Pavement Preservation Program and Accelerated Bridge Program to the TIP. Both projects are to use “Advance Construction” funds as part of the proposed New York Works Program.

  • AMENDMENT TO THE 2010-12 UPWP, February 3, 2012: At its meeting on February 1, 2012, CDTC’s Planning Committee amended the 2010-12 UPWP so that the Capital District Transportation Authority can begin to move forward on a federally required alternatives analysis for the proposed Washington Avenue/Western Avenue Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. There is a 30-day public review period for comments.

  • WEB SITE TRANSLATION TO OTHER LANGUAGES, December 27, 2011: Through the use of Yahoo's Babel Fish via the link on the bottom left of the home page, this web site can now be translated into other languages.

  • LINKAGE PROGRAM SOLICITATION 2012-2013, November 29, 2011: CDTC is soliciting for projects for the 2012-2013 Linkage Program. The focus of this solicitation is on implementation activities related to completed linkage studies or other local planning work such as site design standards, zoning code overlays, etc. The submission deadline is January 6, 2012.

  • NEW VISIONS 2035 ADOPTED, November 18, 2011: At its September 15, 2011 meeting, the CDTC Policy Board approved the New Visions 2035 Regional Transportation Plan Update which reaffirmed the vision, goals, objectives, principles, strategies, actions and budget contained in the New Visions 2030 document through an update extending the plan to 2035.

  • BIKE/PED ACCOMMODATIONS AT I-87 EXIT 3-4, October 11, 2011: At CDTC's Bike/Ped Task Force meeting today, NYSDOT presented their alternatives for bike/ped accommodations for the I-87 Exit 3-4 project (A240).            Project Website  |  Comment via E-Mail

  • CALENDAR OF MEETINGS AVAILABLE, July 6, 2011: This web site now has a calendar of CDTC and CDTC-related meetings open to the public.

  • CDTA’S BUS PLUS, March 31, 2011: On April 4, CDTA begins new transit service on the Capital Region’s Route 5 Corridor. BusPlus is an important regional transportation initiative, of CDTC’s New Visions plan and CDTA’s Transit Development Plan.

  • 2010-15 TIP ROUND TWO & THREE, March 16, 2011: At its March 3, 2011 meeting, CDTC voted to continue to table Rounds Two and Three of the 2010-15 Transportation Improvement Program programming effort. For a more thorough explanation, see the materials mailed to the committee members for the March 3 meeting.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY, December 15, 2010: CDTC has adopted a Social Media Policy to guide CDTC’s use of Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites.

  • ORGANIZATION POLICY, November 3, 2010: On June 3, 2010, the CDTC Policy Board adopted an update to its Continuing Operations Plan “An Intention to Succeed”, defining CDTC’s planning approach and CDTC’s and members’ roles and responsibilities.
